TÜV-certified function of the Mediagon limescale protection system
Since 1988, we have been ensuring limescale- and rust-free pipes with Mediagon technology. Immediately after its development, we had our technology tested and certified by the independent experts at TÜV Germany.
TÜV focuses on the certification and validation of products and services, as well as legally required inspections. Both the Mediagon technology and the effectiveness of the limescale protection were tested.
The TÜV inspection took place in two different households in Holzhausen, Germany. One household was equipped with the Mediagon limescale protection system, while the other household did not have one.
- The effectiveness of the Mediagon limescale protection system was tested over a period of 14 months.
- Three periodic interim examinations took place.
- The system was specifically tested to prevent hard limescale deposits.
- At the beginning of the test phase, the heating elements were heavily scaled.
- At the end of the test phase, the residues on the heating elements were soft and loose.
- No limescale deposits were visible in the boiler.
- The TÜV inspectors certified the Mediagon limescale protection system in Holzhausen as having a positive test result.
Mediagon's limescale and rust protection technology is protected by a European patent, which includes the limescale protection function.
The European Patent Office in Munich required proof that the alloy technology fulfilled the described function before granting the patent. Therefore, the patent was only granted after testing and functional confirmation by TÜV Südwest.
The findings and statements are based on the functional confirmation by TÜV Südwest within the framework of the patent granting as well as on reports from satisfied users.
The patent, the TÜV functional confirmation and other test reports can be viewed at the manufacturer's premises at any time after prior arrangement.
