Mediagon goes the extra green mile
Mediagon Water Treatment is characterized by the production of 100% ecological water treatment systems. Our water treatment devices function without the use of salt, electricity or chemicals. However, we have decided to go one step further, so that we can contribute even more to a sustainable and green world.
In addition to the recycling station and the special paper separation at the head office in Horn, we will be using a new wood-based heating system from mid-2021. The roof of the head office will also be equipped with solar panels!

Trees that have fallen due to natural circumstances (wind, age, lightning strike, etc.) are "recycled" by Mediagon. The decomposition of fallen dead trees leads to a carbon build-up in the soil. In addition, the CO2 ends up in the air when the wood starts rotting. We use these dead and fallen trees as energy supply and therefore offer other trees and plants the opportunity to grow. Younger plants grow much faster than trees at the end of their lifespan. And growth means absorption of CO2, for the entire lifespan of a tree.
So instead of double CO2 emissions - cutting down CO2-absorbing trees and burning them later - we ensure lower emissions and give the forest the opportunity to grow and absorb the CO2 that we emit through combustion. This completes the green circle.
